Lyric Hayduk

Lyric Hayduk was born and raised in the coastal beach town of Encinitas, California, spending as much time outside exploring as she could. Since childhood she was immersed in her family’s backyard garden, helping her parents tend to their seasonal edibles, roses, fruit trees and house plants. A keen interest in the natural world developed and was at the core of her early interests in addition to reading, thrifting, making her own clothes, and experimenting in the kitchen.

After studying English Literature at UC Santa Barbara, with a special fondness for Science Fiction and Environmental Literature, she moved to Los Angeles in 2011 for an opportunity in the fashion design world. With more than a decade of experience working in sustainable design and a highly tuned eye for detail, she decided to shift her focus to working with plants.

Hiking throughout Los Angeles and the West Coast has given Lyric a preliminary education on native plants and their environments, and she is currently studying Horticulture and Landscape Design at Mt. San Antonio College. With a creative eye and desire to help shape and create gardens, Lyric is excited to be part of the FNA team; helping to install new gardens, maintain existing ones and work with clients that share her love for the environment.
